The only Pacemaker Clinic within the Eastern Zone is located at the CBRH, meaning significant travel for a large portion of the 6,000 patients who rely on this service annually. This gift will help fund a new Mobile Pacemaker Clinic, increasing access to rural communities and patients with mobility challenges.
“There are a lot of people in Cape Breton who face real barriers when accessing traditional healthcare. The Mobile Pacemaker Clinic is an innovative way to provide a service for those patients, allowing us to operate beyond the limitations of a fixed facility.”
